Excluding the Loader

Why Exclude the Loader?

Excluding our loader from Windows Defender is crucial to prevent false positive detections that can interfere with its operation. This step ensures that Windows Defender recognizes the loader as safe, allowing it to run without triggering any security alerts.

Steps to Exclude the Loader

Follow these steps to add an exclusion for the loader in Windows Defender:

  1. Open Windows Security:

    • Click on the Start menu and select Settings.
    • Navigate to Update & Security > Windows Security.
  2. Virus & Threat Protection:

    • Click on Virus & threat protection.
  3. Virus & Threat Protection Settings:

    • Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings.
  4. Add or Remove Exclusions:

    • Scroll down to Exclusions and click on Add or remove exclusions.
  5. Add an Exclusion:

    • Click on Add an exclusion and select File.
    • Navigate to the location of the loader file you wish to exclude and select it. If the loader is part of a folder that contains multiple related files you wish to exclude, you can choose to exclude the entire folder instead.
tip

Be cautious when excluding files or folders from antivirus scans. Ensure that you trust the software you're excluding, as this makes your system more vulnerable to threats.

Verifying the Exclusion

After adding the loader as an exclusion, it will no longer be scanned by Windows Defender. You can verify this by running the loader; Windows Defender should not alert or block its operation.
